Drs. Colin Kong, Jacqueline Dikansky, and Mike Pawlowski are pediatric dental specialists dedicated to providing quality dental care for children, adolescents and patients with special healthcare needs.


Colin Kong, MS, Ph.D, D.M.D.

Diplomate, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry

Dr Colin Kong is proud to be a native of Plainville and a graduate of Swarthmore College. After receiving his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) and Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut’s School of Dental Medicine, he completed two years of postdoctoral specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at the UConn Health Center. In addition, he is a Board Certified Specialist in Pediatric Dentistry, holding Diplomate status with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Kong has a broad background in biomedical science and has been published extensively in medical journals. As a practitioner, he has a particular interest in providing dental care for children with special health care needs. As a result of this interest, he volunteers for many humanitarian organizations, including the Special Olympics, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Habitat for Humanity, and the American Diabetes Association. He has a well-earned reputation as a skilled and compassionate professional who loves working with kids and parents.

Dr. Kong is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Connecticut Society of Pediatric Dentists. He has recently joined the clinical faculty in Pediatric Dentistry at Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital.


Jacqueline Dikansky, D.D.S.

Diplomate, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry

Dr. Jacqueline Dikansky is a native of Brooklyn, NY and completed both her undergraduate and graduate education at New York University. Dr. Dikansky graduated dental school with an honors in pediatric dentistry, and also received the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Predoctoral Student Award, given to a single senior student who shows the most promise in pediatric dentistry. After receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, she continued on to an additional 2 year specialty training program in pediatric dentistry at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Dr. Dikansky takes pride in ensuring her young patients are comfortable throughout their dental appointments. Her goal is to have each child leave the office feeling proud, accomplished, and excited to return. She accomplishes this by providing compassionate, patient, and personalized care - just what a child needs!


Michael Pawlowski, D.D.S.

Board Qualified, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry

Dr. Michael Pawlowski is originally from Long Island, NY. He graduated from Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. Following this, he completed his pediatric dentistry residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he served as chief resident.

While in college, Dr. Pawlowski double majored in biology and education and frequently uses these skills to teach patients, and parents, about the importance of oral health.

Usually the first person in the room the crack a joke, Dr. Pawlowski believes humor is an important part of making patients feel comfortable. He is always ready to share a laugh, while keeping little smiles bright.
